Hello, everyone! My name is Myrna Aiello. I am Vice President of South Florida Deaf Senior Citizens. Welcome to our new website. We’re excited to unveil this digital space as a hub for our community to connect, share, and stay informed.
Today, I want to talk with you about the importance of renewing your membership or joining as a member.
Being part of SFDSC is more than just a label. It is a commitment to our shared experiences, a support system, and a way to make a difference in our community. As members, we come together.
As deaf seniors, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with our age. We also know the power of community. When we come together, we can achieve great things. SFDSC is a place where we can connect, support, and inspire each other.
Our mission is to empower deaf seniors. We do this by providing:
Social activities: Opportunities to meet new friends, participate in events, and have fun.
Educational programs: Participate in workshops and events to keep our minds sharp and engaged.
Advocacy services: Work together to promote the rights and interests of deaf seniors.
Community resources: Share information about local services and resources.
Connections: Build lasting friendships, share stories, and support one another.
Service: Volunteer time and talents to make a positive impact.
Our vision is to create a community where all deaf seniors feel valued, respected, and connected. Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.
